As part of the Grey Hotel redevelopment at South LaSalle and West Monroe, we transformed a prime second-floor corner space—framed by vintage columns and original plaster ceilings—into an elevated sky lobby experience. Inspired by the law books left behind by departing firms during the building’s conversion, Vol. 39 emerged as a refined library bar concept, blending heritage details with modern hospitality.
