The redevelopment and adaptive reuse of the historic power plant at The Battery represents a dynamic transformation of an industrial landmark into a vibrant, mixed-use waterfront destination. The project integrates residential living, commercial office space, multiple hotel concepts, an event center, and a sports and wellness facility—creating a cohesive environment that blends historic character with modern functionality.
Set along the Delaware River in Philadelphia’s Fishtown district, the development preserves the architectural integrity of the original structure while introducing contemporary design, amenities, and infrastructure.
The result is a destination that honors the site’s industrial heritage while supporting a new generation of residents, businesses, and visitors.
Riversuites at The Battery is a key residential and hospitality component within the project. It features 62 luxury apartment-style suites, thoughtfully designed to accommodate both short- and long-term stays. Units average approximately 854 square feet and include full kitchens, high ceilings, and refined finishes, with select grand loft-style residences expanding up to 2,266 square feet. The suites reflect the building’s industrial roots through exposed structural elements and expansive windows, paired with modern comforts and elevated design.
Across the broader development, curated amenities and programming—including event spaces, fitness and sports facilities, and hospitality offerings—activate the waterfront and foster a sense of community. The project has received multiple development and historic preservation awards, earning recognition for its thoughtful adaptive reuse, architectural excellence, and contribution to the continued revitalization of the Fishtown neighborhood.
